It is statistically proven that teen stress rivals that of adults. My, our generation is facing a new level of stress due to different factors, but what is almost more worrying than this fact is that most teenagers underestimate the stress and what it does to their physical and mental health.
Saying prom is kind of a big deal would be the understatement of the year. The preparation going into four hours of not looking like a potato that is worrying about AP test-scores and this vortex called future is enormous (and sometimes what makes this once a year event worth it). (more…)
I started biting my fingernails in first grade because my already chubby fingers had to be made more disturbing to look at. It’s not like I didn’t want to stop, I just couldn’t. The biting happened sort of unconsciously (that’s a no brainer) without me making the decision but I eventually was able to reduce the biting to a minimum and only ever disrupted my nails and their appearance when I got stressed. Truthfully though, with exams every other week it was sort of a constant state, even if not as bad as in the beginning. As you may know, or not know, I was an exchange student in the US for a year and well, things changed.
“Hello from the other side.” -words that aren’t actually mine but are very well applicable to my current situation. If social media or interaction with other humans is something you encounter on a daily basis, you most likely heard of Adeles latest hit-single: Hello.
“Hello from the outside.”
As a student I don’t count in actual years, I count in school years. Non the less I enjoy the fireworks and happy celebrations but it just doesn’t indicates the end of the year for me. Just because I don’t see it as the start/end and therefore a new beginning doesn’t mean we (students) don’t set goals for the upcoming year. For those saying every new year will be the best and healthiest year yet I can see 50% of you stuffing themselves with cookies and cake on the 1st of January. (No judging cookies equal life.) We just have to make sure we are in the other 50 per cent.
I don’t like not having my phone around. I like to keep in touch with everyone and everything at all times and to be reached if necessary. As a blogger I am spending a lot of time with my laptop and my phone but I am not alone with the struggle of constant connection. Millions of people check their ‘instagram’ every second, email or argue over the phone (I don’t like arguing over the phone. The whole: storm out dramatically gets lost…) Anyways, it’s hard nowadays to not get sucked into the “world wide web”. What we don’t realize is is that we might just lose precious time in the real world.
A big part in life I think is: trying new things. Wether it’s a dish you’ve never eaten before or some kind of sports you have always looked at anxiously. It is not important how much you step out of your comfort zone, it can be something you just always wanted to try, what matters is that you stay open minded. Because that is what it’s all about. Human beings tend to lock themselves in. They just wander through their routines day after day without not noticing that it is not the little bump itself in the road of life which throws them off but the straying from their routine.
For a Fashion-blogger there are only few things better than fashion itself. One of them is: Fashion for little money. So it only seemed right to attend the Sneak in my closet // Flea market (15th Feb 15), featuring a few of Viennas most commonly known Lifestyle/Fashion/Beauty-bloggers.
Valentines day is like silvester, some bang and others sit alone in front of the TV. And while some people definitely take out their sexiest lingerie I am going to sing the national single, happy girl anthem: meaning basically every Taylor Swift song (ever, ever). Although I don’t have a boyfriend (sorry for exaggerating I can’t even get a high-five from a guy) I won’t spend Valentines day alone. What? Yes you read right! , not alone.
a fetus photo of me as the header you may wonder, or not. Well since I hit 100 subscribers last friday I wanted to show some love and just chat a little over this and that. (more…)
