I started biting my fingernails in first grade because my already chubby fingers had to be made more disturbing to look at. It’s not like I didn’t want to stop, I just couldn’t. The biting happened sort of unconsciously (that’s a no brainer) without me making the decision but I eventually was able to reduce the biting to a minimum and only ever disrupted my nails and their appearance when I got stressed. Truthfully though, with exams every other week it was sort of a constant state, even if not as bad as in the beginning. As you may know, or not know, I was an exchange student in the US for a year and well, things changed.
Coming back, just recently from the big apple with all its extravagancy and minimalism I learned something new about myself, life and the colors surrounding us (if you count black and white as colors)
“Honestly, I just bought it because it was pretty and comfy at the same time”, says no blogger ever and yet I do, because truth be spoken. Spicing it up with a sparkly shoe and a patterned clutch, I feel much more blogger-esque and more importantly like myself.
Changing, moving, going away. Are often words that make you understand what bittersweet means. They are by no means indicators of evil but letting go and shifting away from the past isn’t an easy act. I know some people won’t admit it, yet leaving behind what formed and created you is always hard. No matter how much you enjoy facing what may come, there is still the backdrop of your life known as the past.
Oh it feels so good to be back on my regular friday with a regular fashion post.
Past weeks have been busy for me and everyone I know. I’ve been to Croatia two weeks ago
and the outfit seen in the header is one I wore while being there.
I don’t like not having my phone around. I like to keep in touch with everyone and everything at all times and to be reached if necessary. As a blogger I am spending a lot of time with my laptop and my phone but I am not alone with the struggle of constant connection. Millions of people check their ‘instagram’ every second, email or argue over the phone (I don’t like arguing over the phone. The whole: storm out dramatically gets lost…) Anyways, it’s hard nowadays to not get sucked into the “world wide web”. What we don’t realize is is that we might just lose precious time in the real world.
Updating you with another quick post of what I wore the other day when I finally made it out of bed after being trapped by yet another cold. (more…)
Seems as if the last few post weren’t much about clothing but more about the over all topic fashion and events that come with. Being a little bit predictable, todays post is another event I attended last week.( Friday 14th of March) . Being escorted by a previously mentioned blogger friend I hold the personal opinion that the fashion show itself wasn’t the most breath-taking event but I definitely liked the ‘Fashion Check-in’
A big part in life I think is: trying new things. Wether it’s a dish you’ve never eaten before or some kind of sports you have always looked at anxiously. It is not important how much you step out of your comfort zone, it can be something you just always wanted to try, what matters is that you stay open minded. Because that is what it’s all about. Human beings tend to lock themselves in. They just wander through their routines day after day without not noticing that it is not the little bump itself in the road of life which throws them off but the straying from their routine.
If only school uniforms would look like that, I might never change again…
